Our Mission

To Love the Great Game of Tennis for a Lifetime!

Our Mission

Tennis is a sport that offers so much more than hitting a tennis ball. It is not an easy sport to learn. Due to the speed, the timing, the hitting, and the movement to be a good tennis player, the technical requirements can be challenging. Our mission is to utilize JLTA contemporary and proven teaching and playing strategies to make our students learn the game faster and hit new playing levels above the normal speed.

Our History

From home courts of Rutgers University at Branch Brook Park, New Jersey to the greatest tennis hub in the world, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, the JLTA was founded. Even at the early stages, the program incorporated techniques not yet used; training in pools with racquet (resistance), a major emphasis on speed & agility, aggressive tactics when most training was still primarily on the baseline. We took juniors as early as the age of four years old only to have the joy in watching them to become top 50 players in the world. Our high school teams, Cardinal Gibbons HS was a dominant force for high school teams in the nation. Cardinal Gibbons teams were ranked as high as No.1 in the country.
